The unit had Glass sliding doors, that when removed left 6 holes, caulking & glue where the frame was fastened.
I took this picture after I removed most of the caulking & glue, notice the holes.

The finished Conversion ... the step is only 4" from the floor, because the inside bottom of the tub was so low ... wish all the tubs had a low bottom ... the higher the interior bottom, the higher I have to make the step.
We mask off the area to be protected.
We installed Stainless Grab Bars with a system I invented that greatly increases the anchor strength.
The step is coated with a textured finish & sloped inward with about the same degree of the tub bottom ... water that drips on it will want to flow back into the tub.
We use a Fume extractor to suck out most of the odors.
