WORK IN PROGRESS-
The whole bottom needed to be filled in to bring the sunken bottom up to the level of the drain. Steel bathtubs are very thin and can loose there shape when heavily weighted.
Already for a Shower, never to fail again. :^)
Finished, super solid bottom & repairs finished.
Got the new bottom in, but my camera setting was way off.
The patient is needing an extensive operation.
All Smoothed out & ready for the the new bottom insert.
After this shot, I decided to completely gut it, insides were too far gone.
Owner tried to repair it himself, but the damage is deep inside. The fiberglass he bonded in was tough to remove.
Can't Step Over Dam! :^(
The Step has a Textured Finish on the Bottom.
To Encourage the Water that May Splash on The step, The slope is the same Slant Into the Shower that the Bottom of the Shower Has.
Easy To Enter Now!! :^)
Entry Way Cut Out ... That piece weighs 39lb. & is over a 1/4" Thick.
New Bottom in place & ready to be refinished with the rest of the shower.
Repaired & ready to bond in the new bottom.
